Why the manager should care what players use
Every action a player takes in the app lands in the GolfOS to be analyzed and set in motion. A booking, a start, a score, a cart unlock, a bar order. So the course sees the round while it is happening, not reconstructed afterwards from the starter’s memory and the till.
Players who book, score and pay in one place are simply easier to manage. The tee sheet is right because they booked into it. The pace data is real because they scored into it. The cart is where the system says it is because they unlocked it.
